Liposuction is a surgical procedure in which excess fat is removed from certain areas of the body such as the abdomen, thighs, hips or arms. This is done by making small incisions in the skin through which a cannula is inserted to suck out the fat.
The cost of liposuction in Switzerland varies depending on the area treated and the extent of the procedure. At LIPOCLINIC, for example, the costs for the abdomen and waist are between CHF 3800.00 and 5000.00.
The risks of liposuction include infection, bleeding, uneven fat removal, scarring and, in rare cases, blood clots or fat embolisms. However, these complications are very, very rare. The main problem with liposuction is false expectations of the possible result.
The healing time varies, but most patients can resume normal activities after a few days. However, swelling and bruising may persist for several weeks. The final result is usually visible after six months.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and twilight sleep and is completely painless. After the procedure, the discomfort is usually comparable to a strong muscle ache. Many patients do not require any painkillers, and if they do, simple substances such as those taken for headaches are sufficient.
Frequently treated areas are the abdomen, thighs, hips, buttocks, arms, back and chin. There is currently a great demand worldwide for the correction of double chins.
Liposuction is not a good method for treating cellulite, on the contrary: it can make cellulite worse. Cellulite is often caused by excess skin, by adhesions to the muscles (large dimples) or by the loss of elastic fibers in the subcutaneous fatty tissue, which then leads to the "wrinkle effect". The treatment must therefore always be individualized and consists of tightening the skin with Morpheus 8 and collagen activators such as Sculptra (we call this Cellu Supercharged). In the case of large dents, the adhesions must be loosened. If the skin is extremely loose, it must be surgically tightened (body lift).
Liposuction is an invasive surgical procedure, while CoolSculpting is a non-invasive method that destroys fat cells through the application of cold. While liposuction guarantees a result, the results of CoolSculpting are very individual and often unsatisfactory.
An autologous fat treatment, also known as fat grafting, is a procedure in which fat is taken from one part of the body and injected into another area to build volume and improve contours.
First, fat is removed through a small liposuction procedure. The removed fat is then purified and specially prepared (Tulip method) before being injected into the desired area.
The benefits include natural results, low allergy risks as the body's own material is used and the ability to treat multiple areas at the same time.
Not all fat that is injected survives. However, the fat that does grow will last forever. The best ingrowth rates are found in tear troughs, then also on the face. The ingrowth rates of fat on the buttocks are approx. 50%, those of the breast approx. 30-50%.
Yes, autologous fat can be used for breast augmentation to achieve a moderate increase in volume and natural-looking results. The result is always natural and there are no scars or discomfort. There are also no dreaded complications of breast implants such as capsular fibrosis, infection or "implant disease".
Side effects can include swelling, bruising, slight pain and, in very rare cases, infection or fat necrosis.
The cost of autologous fat treatment varies depending on the extent of the procedure and the areas treated. Butt and breast treatments cost a flat rate of CHF 6000.00, autologous fat in the face costs CHF 1800.00-CHF 2500.00.
Cellulite treatment methods include endolaser, radiofrequency treatments, massage techniques (such as endermology), creams and injections.
The results of cellulite treatments are often temporary because the ageing process cannot be stopped. Regular treatments and a healthy lifestyle can help to maintain the results for longer.
The most effective method for treating cellulite is endermology - a massage technique that must be carried out regularly. Otherwise, skin tightening using heat (Endolaser) and the combination of microneedling and radiofrequency (Morpheus 8) are becoming increasingly popular, along with stimulation of collagen formation using injectable collagen activators such as Sculptra and Radiesse. Depending on the extent of the cellulite, this treatment may have to be carried out several times, but the results are permanent.
The costs can vary greatly depending on the type of treatment and the number of sessions. Prices range between CHF 100.00 and 4000.00.
Home remedies for cellulite include regular massages, dry brushing, a healthy diet, adequate hydration and exercise.
Medical weight loss programs often combine dietary advice, exercise plans and in some cases medication or surgery under the supervision of medical specialists.
Scientifically proven weight loss programs include the cures we offer with injections and infusions. We also recommend a balanced diet (Mediterranean diet) and intermittent fasting. We use the keto diet primarily for lipedema patients, who benefit greatly from it.
The costs can vary greatly depending on the program and the level of support. Typically, our weight loss programs cost between CHF 100.00/week and CHF 1200.00.
Currently, the most effective diets for losing weight are the so-called injection diets. Intermittent fasting and the ketogenic diet are also the most efficient ways to lose weight without starving yourself.
A combination of regular physical activity, such as cardio and strength training, and a balanced, calorie-conscious diet leads to the best results. Sport helps to tighten the tissue and maintain the muscles, while weight loss can only be achieved by changing your diet.
